York University Station Toronto Subway

York University Station Toronto Subway

In the shape of Boomerang, York University Station is a state-of-the-art architecture design formed by Fosters&Partners and Arup (Engineering Consultants).

Other than it’s Boomerang Shape, the York Station’s roof from the top looks like an earthworm skin, while the center of the York Station which is sunk beneath the surface has a large glass window panel that provides a wonderful view of the outside. The building of York University Station is fully ventilated for passing the natural air, while to compete with rare extreme conditions it also has a mechanical back-up that comes from tunnel ventilation fans.
